Oh, and Jesus and I are tight.
My first car was a Saturn, my current car is a mystique, I once helped crash a moving truck into a pole and knocked out power to half of Grapevine Mainstreet. I am not really sure what a "new age beverage" is and I love...Pumpkins?

A Dangerous Prayer

Last month I read the book “IT” by Craig Groeschel. I loved it. A book every pastor should read as well as anyone that has anything to do with any kind of  leadership.

I was reading over some of the things I underlined and some of the notes/thoughts I wrote down, and I came across the prayer that Craig prays at the end of the book and I wanted to share it with you.

I hope that I never come to the place that I am too scared to pray this for myself.

“May God bless you with discomfort at easy answers, half truths, and superficial relationships, so that you may live deep within your heart. May God bless you with anger at injustice, oppression, and the exploitation of people, so that you may work for justice, freedom, and peace. May God bless you with tears to shed for those who suffer from pain, rejection, and starvation, so that you may reach out your hand to comfort them and to turn their pain into joy. And may God bless you with enough foolishness to believe that you can make a difference in this world, so that you can do what others claim cannot be done. That’s it. Amen.”

World Aids Day

Today is World Aids Day.

Aids is one of the worst epidemics to ever strike our planet. It is no longer a disease of one people group or sexual orientation.

Here are some facts…

Every 12 seconds someone contracts HIV.

Every 16 seconds someone dies of AIDS.

In 2007 alone there were 31,000,000 adults, 15,500,000 women and 2,000,000 children with HIV around the world.

In 2007 there were also 2,000,000 deaths of AIDS 270,000 of them children.

This is not something that we should ignore. We need to do all we can to help support the organizations that are fighting this disease and also help those who have been or are being affected by this tragedy… even if we don’t believe or agree in there lifestyle.
